Thanks, Ben, for spreading the word on the drought in Kenya. These types of emergencies come on slowly and don’t really seem to make much headline news. The desperate conditions in Kenya have been building for months. Natural disasters, such as we’ve had recently, are sudden and devastate many lives in a very short space of time and get much more media attention.
Many thanks, Kiri
the drought situation in kenya has been one that i have never seen in this country since i was born some 29 years ago.i mean things were so bad that rivers that were permanet started drying up becaming streame, and the highlands of this nation which have never been dry, became patchy and completely dry.thankfully the short rainy season has started and things are beginning to change. but measures need to taken to upgrade the farming methods and we stop depending on rain.thank you.
